Are professional boxers only humans after all?
I wanted to let you know how much lore my heart is captivated by everything German in opposition to the French. My successful survival here in Strasbourg, France, depends on whether or not there is a German speaking channel on the hotel TV. This time around I was lucky enough to get two! Last night ZDF kept talking about the upcoming big boxing match between the reigning WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster and the challenger Luan Krasniqi. They talked about it that much that it even had me interested. Of course, being a typical girl, I hadn't seen a single boxing match. So when they mentioned that at the latest in a bit less than an hour we'll know who the new champion is, I decided I could survive that long looking at two guys beating up each other. And besides... I tend to identify myself with underdogs. And Luan Krasniqi was proclaimed to be one.
To my surprise the fight really was interesting. (At the same time the commentator kept saying that this was one of the lost interesting fights he has seen. Then one thing is for sure - nothing less interesting than this fight interests me! Ergo - I guess I won't be watching another boxing match any time soon...) And I was crossing my fingers really hard for the German guy. Unfortunately in the end he did get KO'ed. And the dream of finally bringing the heavyweight world champion belt back to Germany after 75 years once again has to be postponed. Oh well... Since I am the type of person who prefers a beautiful and dignified loss to an ugly win, I can only congratulate the Luan Krasniqi. Even more after hearing him repeatedly apologizing to the spectators. Which in the beginning I thought was very sweet. Though I must admit that after the fifth time I did think 'Enough already!'...
After the exciting hour or so I finally tried to sleep. And surprise, surprise... I was dreaming some weird stuff! (Though I am not sure if it was because of the boxing or the McTimber menu I had shortly before the match...) No, thank goodness it wasn't about boxing, as I had enough to chew on just seeing the punch that sent Luan Krasniqi to the ground... It was weirder than boxing. I dreamt that I was back at school and for some mysterious reason Alejandro Sanz came to deliver a small concert. I, of course, was there with my camera ready to take as close a look as possible. I just remember thinking that Alejandro must have put on some weight as he was not so hunky as I remembered him to be... Then at some point Alejandro Sanz turned into one of the guys from the Real Group. But the song list of the concert contained both songs from Alejandro Sanz and the Real Group... I have to admit that I would love to see such a concert in real life. Especially for such a small audience as a school. And being able to have a chat with these artists... Oh, sweet daydreams....
After this turbulent night it was time for me to pack my bag (a bit of a problem here, as C&A had more than one piece of clothing made exactly for me...). While doing this I discovered I had one spare train ticket, which I ended up giving to a French lady with a kid. She was rather surprised by the gesture and even more surprised when I didn't take the money she offered. So I got a big smile and a merci beaucoup... I guess that was my good deed for today, right?

Discovering Latvia
It was time to get ourselves together and go for a ride once again. This time Arta and I invited Kristīne along and we headed east. After 36 hours we returned having left behind us a ride of approximately 750 km and 250 pictures. The latter can now be found in the subalbum Far East of the album There and back again. So far the pictures are without the stories behind them spelled out but that will come. In time. If not this week then next week when I’ll be in Strasbourg. Enjoy the beautiful Latvia!

Improvements!!
Being the kind and generous person that Stan is, he has made a very nice Contact me Form. So now, if you are in the mood to tell me something that in your opinion doesn’t qualify as comments for a certain piece of writing or specific picture, you can fill out the form and reveal your heart to me. ;-)) I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you!

Back to life…
It’s time to start living again after the translation of The Science of Influence has been handed in. The first thing on the list was putting all the pictures from Turkey on the net. This task is accomplished and the result can be found in this separate album. The pictures still lack caption but I am working on it. Then the second task should be trying to write something about the trip. I hope I won’t give up on this idea as the trip was actually (to my surprise) great and had nothing really to complain about. So, please, keep your fingers crossed that Pegasus might visit me soon and stay long enough... ;-))
